overall life. Studies show that constant training and a cycle of mindfulness can help break
the cycle of self-rumination. To become more mindful in your day-to-day life you can practise
meditation or do yoga.
Exercise More
When you’re out exercising, you’re able to clear your mind and focus on the task at hand.
Try to aim for a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity every day. This can be anything
from walking to running or swimming. If you really want to challenge yourself, pick a sport
that is played in a group setting.

More often than not, depression tends to kick in when we sit at home mulling in our thoughts.
In this mind frame, we don’t know what we should do next, or why it’s even worth getting up.
However, setting yourself a routine forces you to stay active and get through the day.

Practice Healthy Eating
Last but not least, if you want to have a healthy mind it’s important that you eat healthy too.
Your diet can play an important part in the way you feel. Avoid eating any foods that are
prone to making you inflamed, such as fast food, high sugar content, refined carbohydrates, or processed products.
Antidepressants are typically the first course of action when someone is diagnosed with a
mental health issue. However, if this method can be avoided, it’s best to opt for a more
