A Healthier Summertime Shake

With summer in full swing here down on Marco Island, my wife and I are more active than ever.  We love running on the beach and getting any sort of exercise down there we can.  My problem is I crave ice cream quite a lot, especially the Blue Bunny brand I have eaten, well since I can remember.  We thought a great way for me to get my craving for Blue Bunny Ice Cream is to make it into a healthy smoothie.
A great way to “have your cake and eat it too” is to add highly nutritional foods into the smoothie.  Here we are using Whey Protein, Simply Maca, Psyllium Husk, Raw Super Foods and Coconut Water.  We were able to pick up  most of the ingredients from Walmart.  
Just by adding a single serving from each product, our Blue Bunny Smoothie has now turned into a nutritional powerhouse! We were excited to check out the demo at Walmart, we got there while she was on break, I snuck back later and had my samples and picked up four different flavors, Vanilla is by far my all time favorite.  
My wife and I enjoy taking long walks on the beach sipping our shakes, and smoothies, talking about our new life on Marco Island, how slow-paced but active we have become.  Being able to whip up a nutritional smoothie is a synch with Blue Bunny in the freezer.
Heading out to sit on the sand, sun glasses, hat and sunscreen in one hand, smoothie in the other. This smoothie is absolutely delicious plus healthy!
