This is a really easy recipe to make either with canned beans or soaking your own beans overnight.  The bean dip is a great alternative to a fatty dip that can weigh you down. For me if I am snacking on vegetables I want to eat a healthy dip.  Beans are high in protein which makes you feel full and makes your body work harder to eliminate the protein.  The body naturally will work on flushing fat since it is so hard to move the protein.

Bean Dip gets skinnier using all natural ingredients and a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil which is your good fat that you want to add into your diet daily.  Pair this dip with red and yellow mini peppers, cucumber, pea pods and broccoli. All the finest most nutritious vegetables to help your snack attack!

Using Garbanzo Beans (Chickpee) in this bean dip recipe  gives you 2.4 grams of protein in 1 Tbsp and 8 grams of carbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (19 ounce) can garbanzo beans
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Curry Powder

Instructions

  1. Add everything into the food processor and pulse
  2. You will need to stop and push the sides down and pulse again
  3. Do this until you get a nice creamy mixture.

    What a great recipe for bean dip hummus. I admire the picture presentation. It would be hard for anyone to resist a plate filled with colorful veggies and a delicious dip.

    The skinny dip recipe sounds great. Dips are a downfall sometimes, for me, just because they’re hard to resist. Best to have one that’s healthy. No guilt!

    Chickpeas are one of my favorite things. I use them to make so many good eats. Homemade hummus is a weekly must for me as I use it as a vegi dip.
