Why We love to Workout on the beach

10838126_10153004225200242_2690336093437616697_o I  have been taking either a walk or a run on the beach most mornings. Living on Marco Island has been a dream come true. Every morning it is amazing the amount of walkers I see on the beach and the road. Bright sneakers, savvy workout wear, you name it I see it.

It is amazing how good the sand feels on my feet when I run either barefoot or in my water shoes or tennis shoes. It does not hurt my ankles or knees, a problem I have had for the past five years. My husband as well has been so active on the beach.


Jump roping on the beach is really a good workout. High Intensity workouts keep you burning calories much longer than a thirty minute low-level jog or walk.

My husband after finishing his workout, it was about 95 degrees this day. I was enjoying the water and getting some sun earlier. How about you, do you like working out on the beach or outside?
