Why We love to Workout on the beach
I have been taking either a walk or a run on the beach most mornings. Living on Marco Island has been a dream come true. Every morning it is amazing the amount of walkers I see on the beach and the road. Bright sneakers, savvy workout wear, you name it I see it.
It is amazing how good the sand feels on my feet when I run either barefoot or in my water shoes or tennis shoes. It does not hurt my ankles or knees, a problem I have had for the past five years. My husband as well has been so active on the beach.
Jump roping on the beach is really a good workout. High Intensity workouts keep you burning calories much longer than a thirty minute low-level jog or walk.
My husband after finishing his workout, it was about 95 degrees this day. I was enjoying the water and getting some sun earlier. How about you, do you like working out on the beach or outside?

We are ready for a busy summer here on Marco Island, my Mother-in-Law is coming home from a week and a half trip from Minnesota so we thought we would throw her a welcome home celebration with her favorite foods. We love making semi homemade salsa and using it on top of tacos and as a salsa for our chips. We were at Walmart and picked up Hunts Diced tomatoes in three different flavors. We bought the Roasted Garlic, Spicy Red Pepper and Sweet Onion to make a really easy semi homemade salsa.
All you need to do is add a few more ingredients. Living in Florida on the island, we want to be in the kitchen the least amount of time. We spend a lot of time preparing the house so we wanted an easy Mexican meal which is my Mother-in-Law’s favorite. We were also excited to add in the Mrs. Wages salsa spices we found at Walmart too. This adds in some great flavors that you may not have on hand.
This recipe is really easy, open your Hunts Diced Tomatoes and add into a large bowl.
Then add your diced red onion and green peppers.
Add in the jalapeño and two tablespoons of the Mrs. Wages Salsa seasoning and cilantro.
Don’t forget to stir in the lime juice.
This salsa literally takes five minutes to make. The combination of three Hunts Diced Tomatoes gives the perfect amount of zing. You can use this salsa on many dishes, not just for chips.
