How To Stop An Avocado From Turning Brown

I love Avocados, but as soon as I cut one open the first question would of course be “how to stop an avocado from turning brown” I can never eat a whole avocado quick enough then it tuns a gross slimy brown, right? I have used lemon juice to keep the avocado from turning brown super quick, if I plan on using it in a salad later that day.

Avocados are so good for your belly when you are trying to lose weight or tone your tummy. I have talked about how important Mufa’s are for a flat belly learning that Dr. Oz recommends Mufa’s for a flat belly which one of them are avocados.
Mufa’s are healthy fats that are plant based, don’t forget to add these into your diet! Some of the benefits of Avocados are:

  • They are a healthy fat which reduces cholesterol.
  • They have an average of 4 grams of protein which is higher than most fruits.
  • They are low in sugar compared to fruits you most commonly eat.
  • Dietary Fiber, a medium size avocado has about 11 grams of fiber, this is about half of what we need in a day.
  • Avocados promote a healthy weight and healthy BMI
  • You can also use an Avocado as a meat substitute because of the fattiness.

Avocados are a great source of good cholesterol. We rarely have this at home so I have not seen it turning brown. But when we do, we enjoy making it as juice and try not to put sugar to keep its taste.

This is quite interesting! I’ve used lemon before, but never would have guessed that onion would work as well.

What an easy fix. I have tried the lemon juice method and the method of wrapping it airtight in plastic wrap but both still have their flaws.
